Students are expected to try and read 30 minutes nightly! I encourage WIDE reading! To read widely means to read a variety of texts and genres (newspapers, poetry, magazines, informational, fantasy, literary, articles online, etc.)

What does the author want you to understand? (message, theme or big picture)
What is the author craft? How does the author play with language to add meaning to the text? (figurative language, repetition, patterns, etc.)
Be unique, simple, artistic or computer savvy and create a way to share the information about your book for the fair!
